At the moment we are working on Money. We have been sorting coins:
1c, 5c, 10c, and 25c
Students need to identify them by their names: pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters.
We are going to start adding to 20c (only!)
Things you can do to help your child:
1. put a bunch of 1c, 5c, and 10c coins out and ask your child how many ways he/she can make 20c. We have been doing this in class.
2. let your child identify the coins by looking for the maple leaf, the beaver, the sailboat and the moose.
