What are these green folders!!
Yes, I have sent a green folder with your child. This folder is part of the home reading program. Children should be reading 4 books a week, actually more if possible, but they only have to report on four (4).
We have filled out the form in class so students know what I am looking for:
-Title and Author of the book
-A picture of what the book is about (I know the space is small...)
-Three (3) words they already know -these are their spelling words (they are in their agenda's)
-Three (3) NEW words from the book
and finally, one sentence on what the book was about.
In their sentence, I am looking for:
-Capital at the beginning and period at the end
-if they used a spelling list word, they have to circle it
-and they have to colour the descriptive word if they used one.
At first your child will need some help but slowly encourage your child to fill out the form independently.
